Go away Irene!
Most of you know we are waiting for Hurricane Irene to get here tomorrow. This will be Claire's first hurricane - one of her firsts that I was hoping would be a long time from now. Not only did she (and I) expereince our very first earthquake this week, but now Irene is coming and she will be a Category 3 Hurricane when she gets here.
Based on the pictures below, our house is directly North of the center of the hurricane as of this morning. For our out of state friends, we live on the coast of NC.
Please keep us and all of the others who will be affected by Hurricane Irene in your prayers this weekend. We will be hunkered down at home!

They just updated weather.com and they no longer forecast for her to strengthen to a Cat. 3. This is good news. We are doing last minute preparations over here now. Claire's first of many hurricanes. One of the many joys of living on the Carolina Coast ;)
