Happy 2nd Birthday Claire!

Yesterday we celebrated Claire's 2nd birthday.  It was a great day!  It started out by a gracious act.  Last year we contacted the non-profit company Icing Smiles to see if we could get a dream cake made for Claire's birthday.  Nurse Tammy offered to make her 1st birthday cake last year so Icing Smiles said they would do her 2nd birthday cake.  Icing Smiles finds a baker near us to volunteer to make a cake for Claire.  Ms. Darla (who we had not met until yesterday) so graciously volunteered to design, make, and deliver Claire's cake.  You can see how awesome the cake was below!!!!  I was so appreciative that I cried.  It was beautiful and she made it out of the goodness of her heart.  I am forever grateful.

 

 

 

Claire got to wear her Elmo t-shirt made by Sugarbug (look for them on Facebook).  Super cute and perfect for the special day!!  Aunt Amanda also brought Claire some maracas that she loves.  

 

She had a blast at her party playing with everything.  I think she really knew it was all for her.  She was so excited!
